Published Works

Essam became a journalist in 2002 at Arab News. He worked there for four years and had approximately 400 articles published highlighting social issues and human interest stories. Essam served briefly as a war correspondent and was an investigative journalist while at Arab News.

He then joined Saudi Gazette as its Jeddah Bureau Chief and continued his investigations there for 9 months before being recruited by The National newspaper of Abu Dhabi in 2008.

At The National, Essam, over a four year period,  was assigned to the police beat, then the judicial beat, followed by the Dubai public transport beat then eventually the Civil Defense beat for both Abu Dhabi and Dubai. While at The National, Essam had approximately 350 stories published.

Essam's articles with The National can be found by clicking here.

Unfortunately, Saudi Gazette's search field does not go back to 2008, therefore, Essam's articles from that publication are no longer available online.
